The 53-year-old who ran Primary Wave Entertainment was charged with multiple counts of rape, sexual assault, and kidnap of four women in California.
He surrendered to the police near Los Angeles following a three-year investigation. The charges span a number of years ranging from 2012, 2014, and 2014.
A total of four women ranging from the ages of 27 to 41 have accused of sexually assaulting them, however, they are currently unidentified.
Guillod was arrested following a complaint filed by Santa Barbara District Attorney Joyce Dudley.
Although his accusers were not named, actress Jessica Barth, who is a leading voice in the #MeToo movement accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2012 when he was her manager.
Guillod, through his lawyer, Phillip K. Cohen, has insisted that he is innocent.
“Mr. Guillod has been vilified for eight years without being afforded the opportunity to examine under oath his accusers,” his statement said.
“Justice is rarely swift and often does not come easy; but Mr. Guillod very much looks forward to clearing his name in the appropriate forum,” he added.
If you use your position to harass and oppress, it’s only a matter of time before the law catches up. Let the court decide the case.
