Anwar once dated actor Craig Sheffer and gave birth to his daughter, Willow, in 1993, before separating from him. She then married actor John Verea, with whom she had two kids, a son, Hugo, and a daughter, Paisley, before divorcing. In 2015, the actress married Shareef Malnik and started living with him in Palm Island, Florida. Anwar got her American citizenship in the year 2008.
