The Nigerian Army has denied deploying soldiers and sending troops to shoot at protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate.
Reports also stated that the CCTV cameras were removed by Lekki Concession Company (LCC) in the eveninig before the shooting at toll gates began.
All floodlights and displays went off at 7 pm, lending the whole place dark so that the officers can shoot at innocent protesters in comparative anonymity.
The Army’s Headquarters took to its social media handle to deny the killing by the Nigerian army, tagging it as fake news, stating: “No soildiers were at the scene.”
Taking to their official handle, they uploaded various pictures of news sites reporting soldiers killing protesters as ‘fake news’
