Ed Sheeran and wife, Chelsea Seaborn expecting their first child together

British singer, Ed Sheeran and his wife, Chelsea Seaborn are reportedly expecting their first child together.

The private couple, who married in January 2019 in front of 40 guests, reportedly saw a wonderful opportunity to be private amid the Coronavirus lockdown.

A source told The Sun: “Ed and Cherry are over the moon. They’re very excited, but have kept things very low key.

“Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family.

“They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer. It’s a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival.”

This news is coming after Ed Sheeran announced at the end of 2019 that he was taking an extended break from music to focus on travelling and his personal life.

Sheeran and Seaborn got married in a private ceremony with only 40 guests there to witness their holy solemnization, according to a report by The Sun.

The singer first revealed that Cherry was his wife during an interview with Charlamagne Tha God to promote his ‘No 6 Collaborations’ project.

When he was asked about the lyrics that called her his wife, he said they were not married when he wrote the lyrics but he knew that they would be by the time the song came out.
