Nigeria has recorded an additional 97 coronavirus cases, according to the latest data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The NCDC made the revelation during its nightly update on coronavirus in Nigeria via its Twitter handle on their 20th of September 2020.
According to the Centre, the total number of coronavirus infections in the country now stands at 57,242 confirmed. The Centre also stated that 48,569 COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the coronavirus, known formally as SARS-Cov-2.
Meanwhile, 1,098 people have died from COVID-19 related complications. This means that the active number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Nigerians as of the night of Sunday 20th of September was 7,575.
