Cardi B defends Kylie Jenner’s inclusion in WAP video following heavy backlash

Following heavy backlash over Kylie Jenner’s inclusion in the video for Cardi B’s collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi is speaking out.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s lyrics for WAP were incredibly raunchy. However, the video for the song was more than anyone could have imagined with Cardi B bringing in Normani, Rosalia, Kylie and other musicians for the video.

Not everyone liked the fact that Kylie Jenner was in the music video and they took to social media to complain. Cardi explained that she wanted to include many women from different races but people were not satisfied.

Shortly after the video was released, a petition was started for Cardi B to remove Kylie Jenner from the video. It has amassed over 60 thousand signatures so far.

However, Cardi has refused to budge. She stated that Kylie has been great to Cardi and her children. She also said that the two are connected through their families.

Their fathers are friends and Kris Jenner is always there to help Cardi out whenever she needs it. In a birthday post to Kylie, Cardi doubled down on her stance, writing:

“Happy Birthday and thank you @kyliejenner for being in my music video.I wanted different type of bad bitches in my video.Black, white,Latin, mix we all have WAPS!OK …but thank you always @krisjenner you always a call away for me and you treat me and mines like fam.”
