Accused ‘fashion house of plagiarism’, Tola Official warns Toyin Lawani to mind her business

Now the designer has gone all out on Toyin Lawani warning her to stay off her brand on her Instagram page.

Her post: “This is an open letter to Miss Toyin Lawani (tiannahstyling)

Honestly, this is disappointing, putting pictures of another brand designs and yours side by side to throw shade is distasteful and really, classless. We have a lot of elegant designers blatantly copy us, but the thing is it ain’t Tola Official it can never be.

let’s make this clear, we have never taken any of your designs or draw inspiration from you and never will first you need to respect and look up to a person with class and also their designs, unfortunately, we don’t. It’s sad that a woman that understands the intricacies of the fashion business and the occupational hazard that comes with it, will try and use her platform to preach hate and it’s quite appalling.

“Since Miss Toyin felt the need to put us up on her page to address us, it shows that we are doing something right and she sees us as competition. Never in a million years would we ever copy Miss Lawani’s designs, simply because she’s just not at that level for Tola.

“Please stop being over your head and thinking everyone is copying your priestly raggedy designs and let people like us that truly make our money from fashion design eat and shine.

Some of us don’t see you or your designs. We’d expect such to never happen again and we all know what they say about businesses at Fola Osibo but that’s none of our business though. So let’s all just keep it cute and mind the business that pays us.
