Not too surprising is the return of one player who many hate for his behavior and love for his goal scoring ability to Atletico Madrid.
Yesterday it was made known officially that both Chelsea and Atletico had agreed that the move go forward pending the agreement from the striker concerning wages and other personal issues.
His ex-teammates who await his return have found it difficult to keep their feelings quiet, Filipe Luis who once left the club for Chelsea and then returned has said:
“Wherever he has gone he has made history and he arrives ready to work, fight and make us better. We are going to grow. I am delighted that my friend is coming here … I don’t doubt that it will be the same Diego as always.”
Meanwhile Koke said that Diego Costa is a very important player and has good history with the club and he is delighted along with everyone that he is returning.
It says in unconfirmed reports that Atletico will pay £48.5 million.
Diego Costa has also been reportedly keeping himself in top condition during his stay in Brazil as he has been training with a personal trainer supplied by Atletico Madrid.
The player himself debunked stories that he and head coach Antonio Conte were in a strained relationship and also made it known that he even sent him a farewell message as his deal was about to be completed.
But the striker will have to wait until January before he can feature in any Atletico game but he will be content to train with the team until then.
