The unified heavyweight champion will make his debut at Madison Square Garden this summer against Jarrell Miller, reports Fight Sports.
Miller is regarded as the least eligible boxer to take on Joshua at this moment, but Fury is focused on getting a rematch with Deontay Wilder, while talks with Whyte did not pan out. As a result, Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn decided to fall back on Miller.
The report says the contract for has not yet been officially signed but an announcement is expected shortly. If everything goes according to plan, then Miller will get his first world title shot on 1st June or 8th June at Madison Square Garden, in New York.
