Liverpool could be without Joel Matip and Naby Keita on Sunday, 17 January 2021, when they face Manchester United in a potential Premier League decider clash.
According to a Mirror report, the aforementioned players were not seen at Wednesday’s training session. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to have his best players available for the match as Manchester United seem to be in a consistent run taking them to the top of the league table.
Liverpool has faced injury woes at the back this season. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are both already ruled out with the former expected back in February.
Matip who is another option in the centre back position has also been unfit. He missed the match against Southampton last week as well. Liverpool had to rely on midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to fill their central defending positions.

Also, with Keita missing, if Henderson and Fabinho drop back, Klopp will be looking for more options in the midfield. Meanwhile, Manchester United are actually waxing stronger than ever before. They have won four of their last five games and drawn one.
When compared to Liverpool’s recent form of one loss, two draws and two wins, it seems they have a chance of further extending their lead at the top of the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp has said that his players must complete two training sessions to be picked for matchday. Thus, both Keita and Matip will have to speed up their recovery if they are to feature.

Both of them have been missing in action since late last December. As for Keita, there is news that he is engaged in personal individual training. He may just be ready in time for the Manchester United.
They better win Man Utd for the sake of world peace
