Yemi Alade has dropped the video for Home, the second single of her brand new album, Woman of Steel.
Woman of Steel was released on Friday, 30th August 2019.
As we reported, Home was one of the singles released before the album dropped.
“Whether you come here to break dance/Abi you come here to shake hands/You come here to make plans/Ever we’ll be the richest motherland,” Yemi Alade belts in the song.
And now, the talented artist has come through with the video for the song.
The Clarence Peters-directed video is also the official soundtrack of a short film of the same name, which premiered at iMax Lekki, Lagos during the Woman of Steel album listening event.
The film is also directed by Clarence A. Peters and stars Nollywood icon Clarion Chukwura, who coincidentally is Clarence Peters mother, alongside Frankincense Eche Ben and Yemi Alade.
The video for Home is vibrant, danceable, nostalgic and emotional as we listen to Yemi Alade sing about her love for her man, for Africa, her home.
“Anywhere you go, London, USA/Nowhere be like Africa, nowhere be like home/Anywhere you go, New York, Chicago/Nowhere be like Africa, nowhere be like home”
