Talk about prominent music producers in Nigeria and Africa at large and one name that will pop up in that conversation is Killertunes.

Otaniyen-Uwa Daniel, popularly known as Killertunes, is a Nigerian Afrobeats record, producer and songwriter.

On the 6th of December 2019, he released a five-track EP titled “Gbedu & Things”.

Killertunes, also known as Shabalistica, has worked with prominent artists across Africa. Olamide, Mr Eazi, Kizz Daniel, Becca to name a few. And the beatmaker decided to drop his own debut project, “Gbedu & Things”.

The five-track extended play certainly lived up to what its title suggests. It displays Killertunes’ proficiency at what he does, producing colourful beats.

The EP is strictly a beat tape as it mostly contained instrumentals that were inspired by modern and classic African sounds as well as the house, jazz, and dancehall, incorporating each into his own sound.
