Pending tomorrow’s final between Senegal and Algeria, Ighalo has emerged the tournament highest scorer with five goals.

While a third place was not the original goal, the players are happy to have come home with some honours.
“Happy to take home a bronze medal and Man Of The Match tonight. Proud of this team! NAIJA SPIRIT“, tweets William Troost-Ekong who scored one of the goals in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over South Africa in their quarter-final match.

Fun Fact!
The Super Eagles of Nigeria has never lost a third-place match at the AFCON. How consoling is that?
