Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will headline the 2020 Super Bowl half-time concert.
A statement released by NFL says the popstars will be performing at the event, which last year drew over 98 million people. The concert will hold during the Super Bowl finals on 2 February 2020.
It will also be the first time that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will be producing the show.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Shakira writes:
“It doesn’t get any bigger than this! So excited about getting on that #SuperBowlLIV #PepsiHalftime stage!”

In a statement released by Jennifer Lopez, the artist says it’s been a dream of hers to perform at the Super Bowl after Watching Diana Ross perform at the show.
“Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the Halftime Show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl. And now it’s made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th anniversary, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”
Diana Ross performed at Super Bowl half time in 1996. For the mathematically inclined, that’s over 23 years since Jlo has been nursing her dream to emulate her.
Dreams do come true if one works hard at making them a reality.
