Nigerian music star Naira Marley took to his handle to post what seems like advice or, maybe a warning to his fans, Marlians.
The king of the Marlians is a reigning controversial lord. So far, he has been able to keep up with always being in the news.
His followers, the Marlians, have taken after his steps by living recklessly and proudly calling it being a Marlian.
A few days ago, Naira Marley’s educational background was revealed and some of the Marlians were disappointed to see that their king allegedly has a master’s degree certificate. See the tweet below:

However, the tweet does not tell the whole story. It doesn’t say what certificate or degree that Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, obtained at Peckham Academy. It’s likely he completed his A-level at the school. That is not enough to study for a master programme. Nevertheless, the point is made that Naira Marley had and still seems to has focus on the direction he wants for his future. After all, he just launched a record label called Marlian Music and signed four acts on to his stable.
Predictably, the tweet elicited various reactions from Marlians, prompting the king of the Marlians to drop a piece of advice to them.
Naira Marley took to his Tweeter handle to tweet: “As a Marlian, you have to enjoy your youth but don’t destroy your future.”

Note that tweet did not directly address the aspect of his educational qualifications. But his advice was on point. Moreover, Naira Marley would know – he has first-hand experience of what it is like to be within crosshairs of a criminal investigation. His case is still pending in court.

And, of course, Marlians are spreading the message as can be seen from a sample of the responses to the tweet. See below:

So, Marlians, your king has spoken. A word they say is enough for the wise.
