As Davido’s international star profile continues to rise, the singer has been lined up as a performer at the upcoming 12th annual Roots Picnic — an r&b and hip-hop music festival put together by the acclaimed American hip-hop band, The Roots.
For the 20th anniversary of their iconic album, Things Fall Apart, The Roots will be performing the entirety of the Grammy-nominated project for the event taking place at Philadephia on 1st June.
Other acts to perform at the exciting event include City Girls, H.E.R, 21 Savage and Nigeria’s very own, Davido, who happily shared his involvement on Instagram. He posted a flyer of the lineup sans caption. See below.

The Roots is a hip-hop group formed in 1987 by Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. They started The Roots Picnic in 2008, with the first event taking place on 7 June 2008. The festival is a one-day music extravaganza, although it was expanded to two days in 2012.
Tickets are already available on the organiser’s website.
