Frozen 2 is set to be in theatres exactly six years after the first was released, on 22 November 2013.
The first frozen movie told the story of a fearless princess who, along with an iceman, his reindeer, and a hilarious snowman to find her sister, whose icy powers have trapped her kingdom in eternal winter.
Fans will remember Olaf, the hilarious snowman who (almost) made the first film while accompanying Princess Anna, Kristoff and his reindeer on their journey to find princess Elsa.
Many praised the first film for its visuals, its storytelling, its voice acting, and its really good music. Others called it the best Disney film since its renaissance era.
Either way, it currently has a rating of 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed over a billion dollars worldwide.
Disney has never been one to shy away from a good business opportunity, so following the success of the film, it was announced that a second Frozen film would be made.
Shortly after the announcement, a section of the movie’s fans began clamouring for Disney to make princess Elsa Disney’s first LGBT person, something that is being suspected with the addition of a new character to Frozen II.
In the second Frozen film, Elsa, along with Anna, Olaf, and their band of friends/animals journey into the enchanted forest in search of an adventure.
Really, Elsa is trying to find out if she should do more with her powers so she follows a voice into the forest.
Frozen 2 stars the voices of Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, Josh Gad as Olaf, Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Iduna and Sterling K. Brown as Lieutenant Matthias.
The film was directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, produced by Peter Del Vecho and songwriting by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
Several early reviews are already declaring this movie better than the first one, so of course, we urge you to catch it when it’s out in the cinema.
Frozen II is set to be released on 22 November. Will you be watching it?
