According to an interview given by Lagos State health commissioner Akin Abayomi, the patients have fully recovered and will be discharged on Friday, 27 March.
“Tomorrow, we are going to discharge six of the (coronavirus) patients in Lagos,” Akin Abayomi said. “Our admitted patients will go down theoretically to 18.”

“6 of our #COVID19 inpatients have recovered and will be discharged soon,” Tunde Ajayi, special assistant to Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
“There’s something Lagos is doing right. Lagos takes the lead.”
Lagos State is the worst-hit state in Nigeria so far as the state has recorded 32 confirmed cases from a total of 51 confirmed cases in Nigeria, according to the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
Abuja has recorded 10 cases so far, and among them are Atiku Abubakar’s son and Abba Kyari. Ogun State has three cases and Ekiti, Oyo, Edo, Bauchi, Osun and Rivers State have one case each.
Several State governments have asked workers to work from home and have barred gatherings of more than 25 people.
Lagos State has also asked 70 percent of its workforce to work from home, shut down schools, markets, and recreational centres.
This is definitely good news and several Nigerians have taken to social media to celebrate, taking this as a sign of hope.
