What Gameplay features should gamers expect in FIFA 21?
Fundamentals of football
FIFA 21 promises to make updates on the fundamentals of football. More intelligent passing, a new blocking system, manual headers and more responsive players are expected. These aim to bring added realism to gameplay and raise the game all over the pitch.
Creative runs
FIFA 21 would afford players more control over every attacking player on the pitch. Players can now use Directed Pass and Go, Player Lock or Directed Runs to break down opposition defences.
Agile Dribbling and Positional Awareness
FIFA 21’s Agile Dribbling system comes with new skill moves. Also, players can use great close control and fast footwork to escape 1-on-1 situations.
Also, Positional Awareness in FIFA 21 would ensure more intelligent use of space and time by players on the pitch. This feature would see world-class attackers hold up runs in line with the last defender, midfielders shutting off passing lanes and so on.
Natural collision system
FIFA 21 seeks to make smoother and more natural player collisions all over the pitch. Goalmouth scrambles and battles for possession in midfield would be more realistically settled. This would result in lesser free-for-alls and players tripping over each other to win a loose ball.
All updates seem attack minded
All the gameplay updates that EA is bringing to FIFA 21 seem like attack-minded upgrades. Yes, it gets harder to keep upgrading features all-round in a game whose earliest selling point was its realism of gameplay presentation. However, FIFA seems to be leaning ever closer to the attacking bias that kept many gamers on the PES divide for years.
