Western Digital Corp has revealed the world’s fastest 1TB UHS-I microSD flash memory card, the 1TB SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSDXC card, reports the Nation.
The new card, uncovered at Mobile World Congress, boasts higher speed and limit with regards to capturing and moving huge measures of brilliant photographs and recordings on smartphones, drones and activity cameras. These noteworthy capabilities of limit and speed would enable users to create high-quality content without agonising over space confinements or long exchange times.
The firm notes present smartphones and cameras enable shoppers to make excellent content in the palm of their hands, on account of features like multi-focal lenses, burst mode abilities and the 4K resolution. And of course, such abilities call for ample storage space so, we guess this latest innovation piece will be welcomed by users because all of us know how frustrating a lack of space in our digital devices can be. Who hasn’t experienced that sinking feeling when you found out you can’t store or download your latest amazing files?
And if the company is to be believed, they are not just offering space but also speed as well as the 1TB SanDisk Extreme UHS-I microSD card is touted as able to achieve a transfer speed of up to 160MB/s1.
The card would also be available in 512GB and will include the A2 specification3 for propelling and stacking applications at blasting rates.
But these things don’t come cheap. If you want one, just be willing to shell out $449.99 and $199.99, individually for either the 1TB or 512MB version. And if you can’t wait to get your hands on one, you can preorder on the SanDisk website but don’t expect to get to use it before April 2019 when it would be available to retailers.
