With a total of three new phones in circulation this year, Apple certainly exerted themselves as they are not known for releasing so many phones at a time.
The newly released phones: The iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR (X is pronounced ten, LOL) are going to be around for at least a year.
The new phones are considerably bigger with the XS and XS Max being 5.8 inches and 6.5 inches respectively, with users having the choice of the gold, silver, and space grey colours.
Both come with a dual camera behind them – 12 megapixel and telephoto lens – and a 7-megapixel camera in front.
Apple has also promised that Face ID works faster than on the iPhone X, while the XS battery will last 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X battery, and the XS Max battery will last 1 hour 30 minutes more than the X.
The XR is the largest among the newly released phones with a screen size of 6.1 inches and it is to be cheaper than both phones.
There’s a 12-megapixel camera on this one, too, but no telephoto lens, and its screen is an LCD, not the OLED HDR displays on the XS and XS Max.
The XR will come in fancy colours like blue, yellow, project red, white, black and coral.
Buyers will be most interested in the price. Apple has said the XR will start at $749, while the XS will start at $999 and the XS max at $1099.
The phones will go on sale next week on Friday, September 21, but preorders begin this Friday, September 14. The XR, on the other hand, won’t be available for pre-order until September 19 and will be available for sale on October 26.
