“I think that blockchain and crypto could be the saviour for Africa in many ways because it brings the power back to the people and brings the security back into the currency system and also allows the people to utilize it in ways where they can advance themselves and not allow government to do those things that are keeping them down,” he said about AKoin.
The 46-year-old businessman was in an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106 FM, during which he disclosed some information about Akon City.
He revealed that construction started in March this year and is expected to be completed in 10 years. Even more, the whole city will run on renewable energy resources.
He also disclosed that the city is located in Dakar, Senegal and will have its own airport through which people can fly in and out.
