After winning the auction for Tyler Marceca script “Stay Frosty”, Warner Bros. Pictures has given Idris Elba and Sam Hargrave prominent roles for the project.
Deadline reports that the is about a man who survives an assassination attempt and tries to figure out why there is a bounty on his head. While fending off the assassin, the Christmas-themed script also puts the protagonist under the pressure of fatherhood; he has to be home in time to spend the holiday with his son.
Marceca is a popular name within film circles, especially after his 2012 script “The Disciple Program” made the Black List – an annual survey of the “most-liked” motion picture screenplays not yet produced. Universal Pictures purchased it for an undisclosed amount and brought in Mark Wahlberg to play the lead role.

There is no information about when the production team will start working on “Stay Frosty” for Warner Bros. However, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg from Dark Horse Entertainment have been named as co-producers.
However, with Idris Elba already done with filming for “Three Thousand Years of Longing” and nearing the end of “The Harder They Fall” onset work, the team may start getting set to commence work.
Sam Hargrave made his directing debut on Chris Hemsworth’s “Extraction” after being Chris Evan’s stunt double in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Captain America: Civil War,” and “Avengers: Infinity War”. He was also the fight and stunt coordinator for the films.
