Dokta Frabz, whose real name is Ayorinde Faboro, has died after he sustained wounds from a gunshot in the US according to a tweet by popular singer Nikki Laoye.
Dokta Frabz, or Dr Frabz as his stage name is stylised, is considered as one of the pioneers in sound engineering in the Nigerian music industry. He begun music as a pianist and drummer at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral in Ikeja, Lagos.
Then, he progressed to pursuing it as a career while studying International Relations at Covenant University. His stage name is expanded to mean: “Doctor of Flavour, Rhythm and Blues”.
