Nigerian alternative singer and sound engineer, Tay Iwar, has been around since 2014 when he dropped his first EP “Passport” containing 12 tracks. In 2016, he dropped yet another EP titled “Renascentia” an 8-track effort.

On the 29th of March 2019, Tay Iwar dropped his debut album titled “GEMINI”, a 16-track offering under his record label Soulection. The album dropped after a long wait of yearning from fans and music lovers.

“GEMINI”, seems a perfect blend of alternative R&B, experimentation, and Iwar’s attempts to get something perfect for radio. It also has some soul and 90’s music influences with Iwar’s apparent maturation of artistry and constantly evolving penmanship.

Tay Iwar also produced 75 per cent of the songs on his album “GEMINI” and this further goes to show his ability away from just vocals. He is a purposeful and well-rounded musician.
