Two of the biggest rappers and lyricists to come of Nigeria, Vector and M.I Abaga, had always been at loggerheads.
Their beef had been lingering on for years with both of them eventually having a go at themselves in 2019 with tracks such as ‘Judas The Rat‘ and ‘The Viper‘ and fans of hip hop finally appreciating the true art of the game.
But that only set them up for possible amends as both acts featured on The Conversation by Hennessy to eventually thrash out their beef, the result then yielded a collaboration.
The beef had always been one artist snubbing the other but now, we finally have Vector tha Viper and M.I Abaga on a brand new track titled “Crown of Clay” featuring Pheelz.
“Crown of Clay” had been teased and fans really relished the opportunity to have both Vector and M.I on a track finally. The wait was finally over as it dropped on 12 March 2021.
The song is not the only collaboration we would be seeing from the duo after finally burying their hatchet as they will also collaborate for the 2020 Hennessy VS Class and more.
“Crown of Clay” is a track about the kingship and riches of the African people with a strong focus on heritage, identity, and gender balance.
