Mainland Block Party, a one-stop for art and music has collaborated with Jameson, the smooth Irish Whiskey, to release an unconventional project titled “Confluence EP”. So far so good, its the first of its kind in the Nigerian music scene.
The 7-track extended play, “Confluence Project”, which was released on 2nd April 2021 is also focused on celebrating the authenticity of Nigeria’s creative industry by offering a pass to diverse styles.
The “Confluence Project” was jointly produced by Sess and Adey.
It also provided a common breeding ground for different artists and their sounds, serving as a bridge that unites them all.
This also brought about a cross-genre hybrid of songs that offers a delight in local music. The project had African rappers such as legend Naeto C, Headies-winning LadiPoe, and also the unique Terry Apala.
The buzzing creators were also featured on the project such as Joeboy, Alpha P, Buju, and Fave.
The EP was inspired by the confluence of Nigerian rivers, the River Niger, and the River Benue. It is also a reflection of the inclusive brand message of the Jameson and Mainland Block party. Everyone is welcome, individuality is championed, expression is sacred and originality is considered magic.
