Wolverhampton Wanderers earned a well-deserved 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Sunday as a late Romain Saiss goal cancelled out Tanguy Ndombele’s early effort.
Saiss struck with a header in the 86th-minute to deny Tottenham Hotspur their first win in four matches as they were held by Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Spurs were quick off the mark, scoring after just 57 seconds into the game when Tanguy Ndombele rifled in from 25 yards.
Wolves, however, recovered and Daniel Podence twice went close but was denied each time by Hugo Lloris, while Fabio Silva shot narrowly wide.
Silva’s effort was again thwarted by Lloris on 60 minutes, who then stood firmly to smother a Ruben Neves shot as the match entered the final 10 minutes.
But just as Spurs thought they would see out the game and claim all three points, Pedro Neto swung the ball in from a corner for Saiss to flick past Lloris.
Spurs rise to fifth on 26 points, six off leaders Liverpool.
Wolves, however, remain 11th with 21 points.

Leeds 1-0 Burnley: Patrick Bamford’s early penalty the only difference
Patrick Bamford scored his 10th of the campaign to send Leeds United 11th on the Premier League standings with a 1-0 victory over Burnley at Elland Road.
The hosts got off to a perfect start when Bamford fired home from the penalty spot after being brought down in the penalty area by goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Burnley fought desperately in the second half in search of an equaliser, but they found no way through as Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who missed plenty of first-half chances, held firm for a valuable three points.
The victory places Leeds United 12th on the standings after jumping four places up the table and, crucially, it moves them nine points clear of the relegation places. Meanwhile, Burnley stay 16th, two points clear of the drop zone.
