Arsenal toiled to a 1-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday to make it the second win after the boxing day triumph over Chelsea.
Bukayo Saka set up Alexandre Lacazette to score the only goal of the game 21 seconds after the Frenchman came off the bench.
The striker collected Bukayo Saka’s cut-back with his first touch after replacing Gabriel Martinelli in the 66th minute at the Amex Stadium before composing himself and firing a clinical finish into the bottom corner.
The goal ensured back-to-back Premier League wins for Arsenal, the first time since their opening two games of the season.
The win however didn’t come easy as they were made to work for it by Brighton, who dominated the first 45 minutes, and had it not been for the wasteful finishing of Alireza Jahanbakhsh and Alexis Mac Allister, the Seagulls would have been in front earlier.
Arsenal took matters into their hands after coming out of the locker room transformed, going close to scoring on several occasions before the Frenchman finally broke the deadlock.
