1. Suicide Squad 2

The government sends the most dangerous supervillains in the world: Bloodsport, Peacemaker, King Shark, Harley Quinn and others to the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Armed with high-tech weapons, they trek through the dangerous jungle on a search-and-destroy mission, with only Col. Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave. “The Suicide Squad 2” is a 2021 American superhero film based on the DC Comics team Suicide Squad. It is a reboot of the 2016 original film which featured the characters Deadshot, Harley Quinn, the Joker, Captain Boomerang and Killer Croc, who are forced into the service of the government in exchange for lighter prison sentences. The films debuts in cinemas today 6 August. You shouldn’t miss this one.

What if one of the best days of your life suddenly turned into your very worst nightmare? And what if you were forced to relive that same day again and again? Wooooh, horror. I like it. In “6:45”, a romantic weekend getaway turns into a demented cycle of terror when a couple finds themselves living the same horrific day over and over again. It stars Craig Singer, Robert Dean Klein, Augie Duke, Thomas G. Waites, Armen Garo, Michael Reed, Remy Ma and then some. “6:45” premieres in cinemas today. Tick Tock.

3. Annette

4. Control Z (Season 2)

Binge-watching is something a lot of people love to do during weekends. With “Control Z”, whose second season debuted on Netflix midweek, you have the opportunity to binge on something from the comfort of your home. “Control Z” is a Mexican teen drama streaming television series that follows socially isolated but observant Sofía who works to uncover the identity of a hacker who is releasing students’ secrets to the entire high school.

5. Vivo

“Vivo” is a 2021 American computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. It follows title-character VIVO, a one-of-kind kinkajou (aka a rainforest ‘honey bear,’ voiced by Miranda), who must find his way from Havana to Miami to deliver a song on behalf of his beloved owner and mentor Andres (Buena Vista Social Club’s Juan de Marcos Gonzáles). The film debuts on Netflix today, 6 August, and it is one for the entire family to enjoy together and bond over. Seize the opportunity.

6. She Ball

“She Ball” is a 2021 sports drama film that follows a man on a mission to save his Inglewood, Calif., community centre. He enlists a talented basketball player to help him win the grand prize in a street ball tournament, and together, they challenge politicians, gangs and stereotypes to save their community. It stars Chris Brown, Melody Rae, Nick Cannon, Bryan “Birdman” Williams. “She Ball” dunks in the cinemas today, 6 August.

7. Infinitum: Subject Unknown

“Infinitum” is a 2021 fantasy film that follows Jane who is trapped in an unknown world with endless possibilities. She has to discover a way to access them and alter her reality before she is destined to repeat the same test over and over again, Ad Infinitum. It stars Ian McKellen, Matthew Butler-Hart, Tori Butler-Hart, and Conleth Hill, whom fans of Game of Thrones will be happy to see again. The film premieres in cinemas today, 6 August.

8. The Mysterious Benedict Society (Season 1)

“The Mysterious Benedict Society” is an American mystery adventure television series based on the young adult books by Trenton Lee Stewart. An eccentric benefactor recruits four gifted orphans to go on a secret mission; placed undercover at a boarding school known as The Institute, they must foil a nefarious plot with global ramifications. Season 1 is fully available on Disney Plus today, and you can enjoy its full eight episodes at home this weekend.

9. Notorious Nick

Based on actual events, “Notorious Nick” tells Nick Newell story, who dreams of being a fighter even though born with a partial left arm. After wrestling in high school, Nick becomes a fierce competitor when his best friend, Abi, introduces him to mixed martial arts. Suddenly, a tragedy provides Nick with an unexpected opportunity, but to succeed, he must commit to becoming the fighter he always hoped to be. It stars Darrin Reed, Elisabeth Rohm, Kevin Pollak, Cody Christian, Josh Campbell, Matthew Stuecken, Barry Livingston. “Notorious Nick” starts to deliver punches in cinemas today, 6 August.

10. Physical (Season 1)

“Physical” is an American comedy-drama television series created by Annie Weisman. In 1980s San Diego, a troubled and seemingly subdued housewife supports her husband’s bid for state assembly while battling personal demons until she finds release through the world of aerobics. All ten episodes of “Physical” season 1 are available for streaming on Apple TV+ from today.
