Trailer Thursday: Top movies to look out for this week

It’s the first Thursday of the year, just a day of work before the weekend- our favorite weekend! In preparation for a weekend filled with fun and lots of movies, we have highlighted the top movies you should absolutely check out.

With Cinemas currently closed due to the Coronavirus restriction, there are quite a number of places to access high quality and enjoyable movies across all genres.

1. Tenet

Tenet was released in the United Kingdom on August 26, 2020, and United States on September 3, 2020.

The movie tells the story of five black soldiers that survived the Vietnam war reuniting years later to find million of dollars worth of gold in the treacherous jungle.

2. Wonder Woman 1986

In this movie, Diana Prince (Wonder woman) uses her magical Lasso of Truth to swing through adversity doing the job she excels at the most- being a superhero that saves the world!

3. Omo Ghetto (The Saga)

Coming from one of Nigeria’s most successful filmmakers, Omo Ghetto is a movie about Lefty and her squad (Nikky, Chummy Choko and Busty) who grew up in the ghetto together, always getting into trouble and neighborhood fiascos.

As luck would have it, fortune smiled on Lefty and she was adopted alongside her twin sister, Ayomide, by the lovely Mrs Benson and moved to an upper-class neighborhood. Irrespective of all the affluence and the change in environment, Lefty still finds herself going back to the ghetto in this hilarious showing.

She eventually gets muddled up in funny business that threatens to escalate out of proportion.

4. Mulan

Mulan is a 2020 American action drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures.

The movie is about a young Chinese maiden who disguised herself as a male warrior in order to save her father in a male dominated society.

5. The Christmas Chronicles 2

Kate Pierce, a troubled teen is reunited with Santa again as a troublemaker tries to stop Christmas.

This movie is an American Christmas comedy movie. A sequel to the 2018 film The Christmas Chronicles.
