During the live presentation show, during which Laycon was given his prize winnings, the managing director of Multichoice, John Ugbe made a stunning revelation.
He confirmed what many viewers already knew by saying that it cost 3.5 billion Naira to set up the entire show and keep it running smoothly for the entirety of the show.
Mr Ugbe also added that virtual auditions were conducted this year and over 30 thousand people sent in audition tapes out of which 20 were selected.
Following this, the 20 housemates were quarantined before they were then allowed into the house.
The absence of ninjas and guests this year, which viewers definitely noticed, was in keeping with the guidelines set by NCDC and to reduce the rise of housemates being exposed to COVID-19.
The most stunning revelation came when Mr Ugbe said that this year’s voting entries broke records as over 900 million votes were recorded during the show.
