Tonto Dikeh and Prince Kpokpogri relationship timeline

Tonto Dikeh and her boyfriend, Prince Kpokpogri, relationship problems have entered different themes, including cheating, blackmail, arrest, leaked media, and so on.

The breakup between Nollywood’s Tonto Dikeh and her politician lover, Prince Kpokpogri, keeps getting messier by the day, and we have compiled the different sides to the story.

Years after parting ways with her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill, the actress found love again in the arms of Mr Kpokpogri, and she unveiled him months ago on her Instagram handle on 27 June on the occasion of his birthday.

Celebrating her new lover on his birthday, she wrote, “[thank you] making me a better woman. Thank you for bringing immense joy and happiness to me as a woman. Thank you for changing me to the woman I am today.“

Following the unveiling, the lovers regularly displayed affection for each other on Instagram by buying each other luxury gifts. Kpokpogri also went with the actress to her son’s graduation ceremony, showing a level of commitment on his part.

With their continued show of affection on the social media network, fans, though excited for the actress, pleaded with her to take her newfound love off social media. However, it seemed their pleas fell on deaf ears.

Trouble in Paradise

Not long after their PDAs surfaced, gossip bloggers began to dig dirt on the actress’ lover. Soon, a voice call recording was leaked, which reportedly brought an end to the once-promising relationship.

The voice call recording, which went viral, was between Kpokpogri and another socialite. They could be heard bad-mouthing Dikeh, complaining about her attitude, smoking habit, etc. While the voice sounded so much like Kpokpogri’s, he vehemently denied that it was him.

According to him, the voice note was manipulated by mischief-makers. He even went on an Instagram live session to make a statement, but this wasn’t enough to salvage the relationship.

Another voice note, this time of Tonto Dikeh pleading with him not to leave her, was also leaked and went viral on the internet.

Tonto Dikeh reaction

The actress urged her fans to ignore the audio of her pleading with her lover. Then, she made a petition against her ex-lover, accusing him of blackmail, extortion, and obtaining by false pretence.

In the petition, which her legal team issued on her behalf, the actress said Kpokporgi has refused to return the sum of N2 million he collected from her. She also claimed that he has one of her expensive vehicles in his possession.

The petition reads in part: “From sometime in June 2021, one Prince Kpokpogri Joseph started to court our client with a proposal to marry her. In the process, he would invite our client to his residence and sometimes, he came over to our client’s residence.

“Unknown to our client, the said Joseph Kpokpogri (who our client later discovered to be a serial blackmailer) had other motives for courting our client.

“Our client now has reasons and evidence to believe that Joseph Kpokpogri has planted closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV Cameras) at private areas of his residence and had stage-managed those visits with the aim of blackmailing our client.

“She was surprised when sometime in August 2021, the suspect started demanding money from her and threatening to expose nude pictures and other such documents relating to her.“

After the petition was made, Kpokpogri was reportedly arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Tonto Dikeh’s estranged lover reacts

Responding swiftly to the rumours, Kpokpogri, took to his Instagram page to do a live video informing his friends and fans that he was not arrested by personnel of the DSS.

He said, “I dey my house, rumour say that I have been picked by the DSS. If you have any information on anybody, don’t come to [social media] and rant and talk nonsense. Come out with your evidence, put it before the public. I want the general public to disregard that rumour that is flying up and down that I have been picked by DSS. That is why I came on Live.

“You cannot carry my vehicle and park it in your compound, a motor that you cannot buy till you die. Then you think you want to use DSS or you want to use the Nigerian security agency to do your hatchet job. [sic]”
