Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known by her stage name Tems, recently got unveiled as a featured artist on Drake‘s soon-to-be-released album “Certified Lover Boy”.
A few months ago, Drake had followed Tems on Instagram, and now, we understand that the action was because of a brewing collaboration.
Drake’s album, “Certified Lover Boy”, which is slated to be released on Friday, 3 September 2021, has been in our faces because the superstar won’t stop teasing.

For the past few days, Drake has been teasing fans by revealing those who were featured on the album with electronic billboards across the country.
These billboards have been spotted in places such as Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Memphis, and Los Angeles. With each one revealing the different artists being on Certified Lover Boy (CLB).
Recently, Tems was revealed as well. UduX, a Nigerian music streaming platform, also confirmed the latest development via a post on their Instagram page on Thursday, 2 September.

This is coming after the singer’s collabo with Wizkid on “Essence” has taken giant strides both locally and internationally. Fans of the singer are in exhilarating moods and attribute Tems’ successes to the fact that she appeared on the “Made In Lagos” album.
“Essence remix”, which featured vocals from Justin Bieber, means that more people will hear Tems’ addictive voice worldwide. While it is true that these collaborations are boosting her fame, it will be wrong to downplay her own contribution.

The uniqueness of her alté-afrobeats style has made her a fan favourite in no time. From mega-hits like “Try Me” and “Damages” to the replay value of her entire “For Broken Ears” EP, she is ‘doing the thing.’
Now many her touting her as the next Rihanna. Although, Tems still has a long way to go before she can be mentioned in the same breath as the Savage X Fenty billionaire without it being satirical. Yet, she is on the verge of being Nigeria’s next queen of music, and she has been doing this consistently for just three years.
