Public speaker Ubong King dies at 48 after testing positive for Coronavirus

Popular business leader and public speaker Ubong King has been reported dead, aged 48, on 26 December 2020 after testing positive for coronavirus.

King was the president of the Ubong King Foundation, a non-profit non-governmental organisation that trains and coaches young leadership aspirants.

He is popularly known for his role in the society as a motivational speaker. Professionally, Ubong King was a security expert.

He also served as a former chairman of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASI) International Chapter 206, Lagos Nigeria. While he grew up in Lagos State, King is an indigene of Akwa Ibom State.

Ubong King’s nickname is Mr Trouble Maker because of is favourite quote which says; “The only way to get out of trouble is to enter trouble.” 

According to sources, Ubong King died on 26 December 2020 not long after he tested positive for coronavirus. However, there is no statement on whether it was really complications from the virus that killed him.

King is survived by his wife Unyime Ivy-King and four children; Adora-Edima, Jamon-Mfonabasi, Atara-Uyaiabasi, and Sarah-Mbuotidem.
