American rapper and Grammy award winner Cardi B has warned the public that her music is not suitable for kids and charged parents to be more responsible.
Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, known professionally as Cardi B, in a series of tweets stated that her music is not suitable for kids in an apparent reply to a critical fan.
The criticism itself comes from a video where the rapper quickly stops her song “WAP” from playing immediately her daughter, Kulture entered the room.

A Twitter user @Mo_fierce had responded to the video saying; “So ya daughter cant listen to it but everybody else’s daughter can? @iamcardib
“AW OKAY! Exactly what I been saying you have an agenda to push with that trash a-s label your with. DISGUSTING.”

To address the issue, Cardi B tweeted to her 16 million followers that her music is strictly for adults. She wrote:
Ya needs to stop with this already ! I’m not jojosiwa ! I don’t make music for kids I make music for adults.Parents are responsible on what their children listen too or see.I I’m a very sexual person but not around my child just like every other parent should be. https://t.co/LRH3APdp9A

In addition, she further wrote that there are moms who do all kinds of jobs for entertainment and money. “… does that mean they do it around their kids?” Cardi B asked. “No! Stop [making] this a debate. [It’s] pretty much common sense.”

This did not stop the argument from raging on in the comment section. Many argued that she should stop making explicit content completely while others supported the “Bodak Yellow” crooner. One user, @juventinaa1 wrote;
“Honestly, lazy parents expect the Internet to raise their kids, celebrities are not responsible for your kids you as a parent should provide boundaries and show them what’s right or what’s wrong but of course everyone wants to just have a baby but not actually take care of it…”
Wait, what are all these people’s problem?
That’s better
Cardi always spitting. Be responsible for your own children.
She’s right. The songs are clearly rated “with parental restrictions”
People are so critical of others. If you are a parent, raise your kids, neither Cardi B nor any other celebrity is responsible for raising your kids for ya. Cardi B is so on point. #Commonsense!
