‘Face your country’ – Wizkid tells President Muhammadu Buhari amid campaign for #EndSars

Nigerian music star, Wizkid has taken to social media to address the President of Nigeria, President Muhamadu Buhari.

The 30-year-old, who was apparently fed up with the countless videos of alleged SARS brutality took to Twitter to air his views and call for change.

For the past few days, Nigerian youths have shared tales of police brutality and extortion at the hands of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) prompting the trending hashtag, #EndSARS.

The problem now is that this topic has been around for more than a few years and Nigerian youths are tired of it.

President Buhari tweeted a goodwill message to President Trump and his wife, Melania Trump after the duo tested positive for Coronavirus.

In response to this tweet, Wizkid shared a message blasting the President and asking him to focus on the affairs of the country.

Donald Trump is not your business!” the 30-year-old singer wrote. “Old man! Police/Sarz still killing Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern u for America! Face your country!!”

His comments did not end there. He also had some words for the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu.

He said: “Mr Governor! I met with you December 2019! You expressed how proud you are of the entertainment industry and all we do. Pls do something let’s be proud of you too abeg ! #Endsars!!”
