Kanye West Donda event in August 2021 is the third listening party he had for his forthcoming 10th album, and here are the top controversial moments featuring Kim Kardashian, Marilyn Manson, and DaBaby.
The rapper, who is currently working to get his legal name changed to Ye, has yet again, premiered his highly anticipated “Donda” album on Thursday, 26 August 2021, in Chicago’s Soldier Field Stadium.
The fact that the album is yet to be released is no surprise to fans of the rapper as he has a reputation for delaying his projects.
On 22 July, the singer attempted a premiere of the album at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, but last-minute changes delayed its final release.
A couple of weeks later, he gathered everyone again for another listening session of the Donda album, however, there were still so many uncertainties around the album.
On Thursday, 26 August, what happens to be the third listening party of the album was held in Chicago, and it turned out to be the biggest scene and the most controversial of his long-awaited album.

1. DaBaby

One of the most controversial moments of the Donda event was when Kanye West brought DaBaby on stage. If you have been following pop news, you will undoubtedly have heard about the backlash that DaBaby has been facing for repeatedly spewing homophobic comments. Thus, his performing with West on a song that originally featured Jay-Z angered many.
2. Marilyn Manson

Another awkward moment was inviting Marilyn Manson, the rockstar who has been accused and sued by several women of sexual assault and abuse, to the stage.
3. Kanye West on fire

Fans were likely unprepared when Kanye West appeared on stage, entirely on fire. Their genuine gasp and screams were likely what the rapper aimed for in his shocking stunt.
The performance happened in front of a replica of his childhood home, which he built on the stage to make things more interesting. The rapper set himself on fire, as could be seen emerging from the house and walking around in a fire-resistant suit. A stagehand then drenched him with a red extinguisher.
4. A wedding ceremony

Another talked-about “Donda” moment included a re-creation of a wedding ceremony that brought the event to a close.
A woman that is believed to be Kim Kardashian, the rapper’s estranged wife, who filed for divorce from him in February 2021, met West on stage wearing a wedding dress, and they walked off together.
“Donda” was originally scheduled to be released on 23 July but was later pushed back to an August date. As of 27 August 2021, the album has still not been released.
