According to him, he may have not have stepped back from official royal duties if he hadn’t met Meghan because he couldn’t have done it without her. He felt trapped and “didn’t see a way out” so “without question, she saved me,” he said.
Meghan went on to reveal that there were concerns about her son’s skin color before his birth which was why he wasn’t given the title of prince.
“They didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol and that he wasn’t going to receive security.
“In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, ‘you won’t be given security, not gonna be given a title’ and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” Meghan said.

When asked if she was silent or had been silenced, Meghan replied: “The latter”. She stated that in the royal house, they didn’t only fail to protect her against malicious claims, they lied to protect others.
She said: “It was only once we were married and everything started to really worsen that I came to understand that not only was I not being protected but that they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family.
“There’s the family and then there are the people that are running the institution, those are two separate things and it’s important to be able to compartmentalize that because the queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me.”
Meanwhile, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle, and Prince Harry are expecting their second child together.
The couple announced the news of their pregnancy with a stunning black-and-white photo that was taken remotely by their longtime friend and photographer, Misan Harriman, via an iPad. This comes months after Meghan revealed that she went through a painful miscarriage.
