Nearly four years after about 15 men came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct, Hollywood’s Kevin Spacey returns to the industry in a Franco Nero-directed film.
According to Geo News, a photograph of the actor on set in Turin birthed the speculation. Later, producer Louis Nero confirmed that Spacey will play a ‘small part’ in the film.
IMDb reveals that the film “L’uomo che disegnò Dio” (2021) follows an extraordinarily gifted blind artist who can make realistic portraits merely by listening to a person’s voice. Unsurprisingly, the media is cast as the villain in the film.
The above-quoted plot adds: “A fable on the need to rediscover the miraculous power of dignity in a world where media’s noise has solved the problem of man’s imperfection simply by removing the problem.”

Kevin Spacey will not be playing the hero in this film as his part is reportedly ‘small’. Yet, one cannot help but see this as an attempt to stick it to the media, which was unforgiving during his period of tribulation.
Within weeks of Anthony Rapp and 15 others accusing him of inappropriate behaviour towards them, the actor was removed from the television series “House of Cards” as both lead star and executive producer. From then on, it went downhill with Netflix cancelling “Gore”, in which Spacey was to play American writer Gore Vidal. He was also cut from “All the Money in the World,” and the producers reshot all his parts with another actor.
Kevin Spacey, who has since then come out as gay, denied the allegations and was never convicted despite Rapp and another unnamed man suing him in September 2020. It is not yet clear which distributor is taking the bet on this film. Additionally, this appears to be Franco Nero’s debut as a sole director, and we do not yet know how the public will react to this film when it drops.
