The CMA Awards honours and showcases the biggest names in country music as well as emerging talent dominating the country music airwaves.
Eric Church and Maren Morris won big at the 54th Country Music Association Awards, which held Wednesday night at the Music City Center in Nashville.
Church took home the top prize of Entertainer of the Year. “It’s going to be music that brings us out of this. Music is going to save the entire world,“ he stated at his acceptance speech.
Church had been nominated in this category three times previously, but this marked his first win. Morris, on the other hand, claimed most of the big awards. She claimed three, out of her five nominations.
