Billie Eilish’s stunning cover of British Vogue sends a body positivity message

American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish graces the cover page of the British Vogue magazine in its latest issue and she looks absolutely stunning.

The record-breaking music star who has redefined the industry has taken on a whole new culture shift and isn’t stopping there.

She switched her hair colour from green and went full blonde on us and she seems to have decided on taking it a notch higher by posing for British Vogue.

The high priestess of Generation Z is also poised to release her sophomore album – Happier Than Ever, and that also pointed at a whole new direction that shaped her choices.

She is accustomed to the colourful green hair and baggy sweaters but she has shed all of that for something more revealing for the upcoming issue of the British Vogue.

Her reason for deciding against the ‘norm’ with female celebrities was because she advocates for Body Positivity. She is a true feminist and she believes in owning her choices and her craft.

However, what if she wanted to show a little bit of skin for the first time ever? in a fashion story of course. Well she didn’t hesitate in bringing her ideas of the aesthetics she loved about the mid-20th century pin-ups she wanted to play with to Vogue and the result was jaw-dropping.

Billie wanted nothing short of transformation as it’s has been throughout her illustrious career and everyone can see that’s exactly what she got with her partnership with Vogue.

For the music star, it’s more than just a magazine shoot. She brought a message along with her as well, one that had to do with the image issues the media had placed on her.

She says, “Suddenly you’re a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you’re easy and you’re a sl*t and you’re a wh*re. If I am, then I’m proud.”

She also added saying “Me and all the girls are hoes, and f__ it, y’know? Let’s turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin — or not — should not take any respect away from you.”

Billie wants every girl out there to own their personality and do whatever they like with their body irrespective of what the social standards are. Do you, be you, she says.
