Netflix has confirmed “Army of The Dead” prequel – “Army of Thieves”.
Arguably one of the most memorable scenes in the Zack Snyder directed Netflix Original, Army of The Dead, is the one where Dieter saves Omari Hardwick’s character, Vanderohe, by pushing him back into the vault as the zombies attacked him (Dieter). That was as selfless an act as can be.
Fans can also agree that Ludwig Dieter, the safecracker, was quite a funny character to watch. While it may be a little unexpected that the prequel will focus on Ludwig’s character, it is not entirely illogical. According to Digital Spy, Guz Khan, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Ruby O Fee, Noemie Nakai, Peter Simonischek and Game of Thrones‘ Nathalie Emmanuel will also star.
The approval of this prequel can be attributed to the success that “Army of The Dead” is enjoying on Netflix. Latest projections have shown that the film is likely to become one of Netflix’s most-watched release of all time. According to Netflix, it is on course to have been watched by 72 million households in its first four weeks.

If that be the case, the zombie horror flick will secure a place among other all-time successful Netflix films like “6 Underground”, “Bird Box”, “Spenser Confidential”, “Murder Mystery”, and “The Old Guard”.
Zack Snyder’s “Army of The Dead” is based on a group of mercenaries who break quarantine to venture into an infested Las Vegas and crack a casino safe containing $250 million, ultimately pulling off “the greatest heist ever attempted”. It is streaming on Netflix. You may also like to read our recent article Cruella reviews: Emma Stone and Emma Thompson receive praises.
