Donatella Versace has joined other high-end fashion house like Gucci, Tom Ford, Michael Kors and Armani to go fur-free.
Donatella Versace stated that she will no longer use animal fur in any of her designs. In her statement, the Italian designer reportedly says:
“Fur? I am out of that. I don’t want to kill animals to make fashion. It doesn’t feel right,” according to the the The Economist’s 1843 magazine.
The publication points out that it is something of a quick turnaround for the brand, which at the time the interview was published on Wednesday, was still promoting “fur-embellished coats that turn heads” on its website.
