Hajiya Fatima Adamu Baaba, who was the mother of Nigeria minister of education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has passed on.
Mr. Ben Goong, director of press of the ministry, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
Goong said that Hajiya Fatima died in the early hours of Friday at the age of 109. He said the deceased is survived by six children – three males and three females.
The deceased was buried on Friday at Azare in Bauchi State, in accordance with Islamic rites, according to NAN.
Mr Adamu was first appointed minister of education by President Muhammadu Buhari on 11 November 2015, along with 35 others, when the president made his first major appointments. He was reappointed on 21 August 2019.
