The president’s chief-of-staff, Abba Kyari, passed on barely four weeks after testing positive to the COVID-19 pandemic, better known as coronavirus infection.
He was buried today with a number of Nigeria’s top leaders in attendance.
On seeing this, Nigerians have taken to the Twitter community to drag the leaders for not adhering to their own lockdown directive.
At present, Funke Akindele is also trending as apologies are flying all around the place. Nigerians are apologising for dragging the actress on Twitter after she held a house party to celebrate her husband’s birthday, which led to their arrest, arraignment in court and subsequent conviction and sentencing.
Pictures of the late chief-of-staff’s burial are all over social media and Nigerians are furious at the number of people present, despite the lockdown order.
See some of their various reactions below:
Does Funke Akindele deserve an apology, or those in charge on Abba Kyari’s burial need to be arrested?

Funke akindele had her birthday party and was prosecuted for social gathering. I can see the notherners and politicians gathering together like iced fish inside a carton for the burial of Abba Kyari. If nobody can prosecute you, Covid-19 will.

If we do not use the same energy that we used on Funke Akindele to change it for the government as regards to this burial, then we owe her an apology. And that means Burna Boy was right, so we also owe him an apology.

I can see some stupid people saying we owe Funke Akindele and Burna an apology.. First the same energy we used in calling her out is what we are using the politicians out now. WTF.. so we should look away when celebrities flout the law just because our useless politicians do too?
