The protests are still going on and getting bigger every day, with more Nigerians joining the cry for change both on social media and on the streets.
Youths are tired of the harassment, the extortion, the killings, and are taking to the streets to demand better from the leaders in the country.
Several celebrities have contributed their voice to the calls to end the unit. Some of these include Chance the rapper, Genevieve Nnaji, John Boyega, Nse Ikpe Etim, DJ Cuppy, and so many others.
John Boyega tweeted: “The youth in Nigeria deserve good leadership and guidance. This situation is tied to many other issues. Please lend your attention to this pressing problem! #EndSARSImmediately #EndSarsProtests #EndSARS #EndSARSProtest”.

I would lying if I said I’m DIRECTLY affected by SARS but a lot of my Cupcakes are and that’s enough for me to care. I stand behind the movement to #EndPoliceBrutality AND #EndSARS ??

I’ve been taking the last few days to fully research on the topic of #PoliceBrutalityInNigeria, I didn’t want to jump on a hashtag before understanding the stories of the victims… + I’ve been deeply saddened at the fact that history continues to repeat itself.

I think this reflects that we are not learning from history & after every outrage we go back to Business as Usual!!! This time it must be different!! Our Leaders both In Government, The Police & the private sector must come together to act NOW #EndSARSImmediately

Seeing how our voices have identified and ignited the world, no wonder d ?? government tried to censor social media earlier this year!!! Moving forward from this watershed moment we are no longer asleep to any of their gimmicks.. the youth are wide awake #EndSARS #EndSarsNow

After doing a little research I would like to speak out against what’s going on in Nigeria right now. Their pleas to #EndSarsNow IS VERY REAL. I have so much love for my Nigerian fans and it’s so hurtful to hear whats happening.

Police brutality here in America often is an abuse of power driven by race. To be brutalized, extorted and murdered by your own people is unimaginable. Prayers up and I’m researching ways I can help. #EndSARS
