In today’s world, higher education is not just a plus to one’s intelligence quotient but also his general societal status. Better job opportunities, more influence amongst peers, flexibility, and adaptability to diverse habitat are part of the multiple advantages of acquiring a higher learning degree. Achievers University was founded in 2007, the year it also commenced its academic activities. The university is owned by Mr Bode Ayorinde. It is located at KM 1 ldasen/Uteh Road, Owo in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Its operating license was suspended in July 2012 but was later restored after it implemented recommendations by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC).

Michael and Cecilia Ibru University was founded in 2015. It is situated in Agbara-Otor, Delta. The private institution was approved by the National Universities Commission, Nigeria in 2015.

Obong University is a private institution situated in Obong Ntak, Akwa Ibom State. It was formerly known as the African College of Management when it was founded in 1997. It was renamed the University of Africa a year after before which it got its current name in 2007.

Redeemer’s University was approved and granted an operating license on 7 January 2005 by the NUC.
Redeemer’s University is located in Ede, Osun, off Gbongan-Oshogbo Road, Osun State, Nigeria. It was established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 2005. Following from the 2013/2014 academic year, the institution had three colleges and offers a total of 26 academic programs.

65. Ritman University
Ritman University is a private university, which was established in 2015. The university is located in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. It is Ritman Investment Services Limited.
The university has no religious affiliation and it admits students from different parts of the country irrespective of cultural background.
The university fees range between NGN 300,000 and NGN 400,00, which is quite affordable for a private institution.

This private university is located in Ogwa, Edo State, Nigeria. The Apostolic Church Nigeria found the university and named it after Pastor Samuel Adegboyega.
The school received its license from the NUC in 2011. In 2015, it was rumoured that the university lost its license which was confirmed by the university’s VC.
In 2018, the Vice-Chancellor of Samuel Adegboyega University announced that the university has received full accreditation.

This is a list of private universities in Nigeria. As you know, education is one of the proven bedrock of success. Sometimes, getting the desired access to higher education may be difficult in Nigeria, but private universities have come to make access to higher education a bit easier. However, the cost of tuition in these institutions is usually much higher compared to what is charged by government-owned universities.
