Lagosians want keke back!
Just a few days into the ease of Lockdown by Lagos State government, many Lagosians are taking to Twitter to ask for the return of Keke to ease the difficulty of the experience on Lagos roads due to traffic.
This conversation arose due to the lack of buses to convey people to their destination, and the large scare caused by the unsafe nature of buses during the pandemic.
Recall that the former Governor of Lagos State, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode released hundreds of routes where motorcycles and tricycles (aka Okada and Keke) are banned.
However, the government of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu banned motorcycles and tricycles in most parts of the state since February 2020.
As it were, Lagosians are no longer finding it easy to commute as they experience a lot of difficulties getting to their destinations and they want Keke back to help ease the traffic.

It's really been a difficult week with the traffic situation. I wish there were more Kekes. I can't imagine doing this again for another week.#bringkekebacktolagos pic.twitter.com/k3Ec8AkmkI
