Lagos State Police Command has responded to cries from residents over the alleged impending attack from “1 million boys“, a notorious group of criminals that have carried out several attacks since the lockdown began.
Life in lockdown has not been kind to a lot of people. Some have lost their loved ones to the virus, others have no means of feeding during these hard times and to make matters worse, communities are getting attacks from a group of notorious armed robbers popularly known as ‘1 million boys’.
Residents of these communities being attacked have cried out to the state government and their cries have finally been heard. The Lagos State Police Command has taken to their official Twitter handle to address the issue. It stated that adequate deployment needed has been made available.
Members of these communities have been urged to remain calm and have also been given hotlines to dial in times of impending danger. The government is doing all that it can to ensure that the citizens are kept safe from harm.
“The Police have received series of calls from residents in Idimu, Igando, Ikotun, etc, that the “one million boys” are planning to attack the communities. The Police responded with massive deployment of Police patrol teams to beef up the security of the area,” Lagos Police writes on their Twitter handle.

The IG of Police has also deployed DIG Peter Ogunyanwo to Lagos in order to have a clear assessment of the situation in Lagos and Ogun and also coordinate the the operations against such criminal elements.
